This effect is similar to the Spherize filter in Photoshop, except that it runs in realtime of course, and the method must be pretty different. For Flash, i use the Displacement map filter.

I already used it last year, in my flash animation for the new year : Happy New Year 2007

This time, i’ve added some elasticity, and optimised the code. Just click on the boutons and the pictures to enjoy the effect ;)
