I don’t have enough time to learn AS3, but i still like to play with my old AS1 effects.
This effect is similar to the Spherize filter in Photoshop, except that it runs in realtime of course, and the method must be pretty different. For Flash, i use the Displacement map filter.

I already used it last year, in my flash animation for the new year : Happy New Year 2007

This time, i’ve added some elasticity, and optimised the code. Just click on the boutons and the pictures to enjoy the effect
